City of Anderson Minutes of the Regular Meeting: April 28, 2015 Board of Public Works PRESENT: Pete Heuer, Chariman Nara Manor Roger Clark, Member Ryan Paschal Charlie Jones, Member Yasser Abouaish Charlee Turner, Recording Secretary Michael Farmer Mike Frischkorn Jason Fenwick Stu Hirsch APPROVAL OF MINUTES Meeting was called to order at 3:00 p.m. Member Clark then made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Member Jones seconded. Motion passed unanimously. NEW BUSINESS REQUEST TO SET JUNE 2, 2015 AS DATE TO RECEIVE BIDS TO REHABILITATE TWO CLARIFIERS Nara Manor, Superintendent Anderson Water Pollution Control Utility, requested the Board set June 2, 2015 as the bid date for the rehabilitation of two clarifiers. Clarifier number 3 and Clarifier number 4 were constructed in the 1960’s and are in need of work to extend their useful life due to the frequent mechanical breakdowns that have been occurring. Member Clark moved to set the bid date for the rehabilitation of two clarifiers to June 2, 2015. Member Jones seconded. Motion passed unanimously. APPROVE A GRANT FOR MLK Michael Frischkorn, Deputy Director for Economic Development, recommended the Board approve a donation to the MLK Commission. The donation is to assist in the J. T. Menifee City Wide Clean-Up. The donation request is for $800.00. Food and Beverage funds will be used. Member Jones moved to approve the donation request. Member Clark seconded. Motion passed unanimously. MISCELLANEOUS OLD BUSINESS CLAIMS With no further business coming before the Board it was unanimously passed to pay the claims in the amount of $5,825,299.22. Member Jones made the motion to pay the bills and Member Clark seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
