MINUTES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION April 12, 2018 PUBLIC HEARING / MEETING 4:30 p.m. Mr. Stephenson moved to approve Resolution Conference Room #1 EDC06-18 for Tony and Kimberly Miller, 6434 Colt 120 East 8th Street Lane. Ms. Jamerson seconded. Motion passed Anderson, IN 46016 unanimously; 4 yes, 0 no. MEMBERS PRESENT Bill Nagengast, President ADJOURNMENT Lance Stephenson, Vice President Mr. Nagengast adjourned the meeting at 4:38 p.m. Mary Jamerson, Secretary/Treasurer Roger Reed MEMBERS ABSENT Lisa Hobbs STAFF PRESENT Greg Winkler, Director Karen Soetenga, ED OTHERS PRESENT Doug Whitham, City Controller Kim and Tony Miller, Tax Abatement Applicants ROLL CALL AND DECLARATION OF QUORUM Mr. Nagengast called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. and declared a quorum with four (4) members in attendance. MINUTES Mr. Nagengast called for the minutes of March 8, 2018 to be approved. Mr. Stephenson made a motion to approve March 8, 2018 minutes and Mr. Reed seconded. This motion passed unanimously; 4 yes, 0 no. NEW BUSINESS Resolution EDC 06-18 A Resolution Recommending Residential Tax Abatement for Tony and Kimberly Miller , 6434 Colt Lane Mr. Winkler briefed Commission Members on Resolution EDC06-18 residential tax abatement for Tony and Kimberly Miller, 6434 Colt Lane. Mr. Winkler stated the address is located in the Appledowns Addition, Lot 19 and improvements to the property will be at an estimated cost of $234,370.00. The request is for a three-year tax abatement, as it is not considered in-fill housing. Construction will commence before December 31, 2018, for a single-family dwelling intended for human habitation. Mr. and Mrs. Miller were introduced and briefed members on construction. Brief discussion followed.
