MINUTES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION August 9, 2018 PUBLIC HEARING / MEETING Mr. Stephenson moved to approve Resolution 4:30 p.m. EDC14-18 for Anthony Wilson and Alexa Troutman, Conference Room #1 6517 Turf Way. Ms. Jamerson seconded. Motion 120 East 8th Street passed unanimously; 3 yes, 0 no. Anderson, IN 46016 Resolution EDC 15-18 A Resolution MEMBERS PRESENT Bill Nagengast, President Recommending Residential Tax Abatement for Lance Stephenson, Vice President Bernard Lee, Jr., 6527 South Rangeline Road Mary Jamerson, Secretary/Treasurer Mr. Winkler briefed Commission Members on Resolution EDC15-18 residential tax abatement for STAFF PRESENT Bernard Lee Jr., 6527 South Rangeline Road. Mr. Greg Winkler, Director Winkler stated the address is located in the Apple Tim Lanane, City Attorney Downs Addition, Lot 65 and improvements to the Karen Soetenga, ED Staff property will be at an estimated cost of $170,000. OTHERS PRESENT The request is for a three-year tax abatement, as it is Anthony Wilson, Abatement Applicant not considered in-fill housing. Construction will Phil Seybold, Builder commence before December 31, 2018, for a single- Bernard Lee, Tax Abatement Applicant family dwelling intended for human habitation. Mr. Seybold and Mr. Lee were introduced and briefed ROLL CALL AND DECLARATION OF members on construction. Brief discussion followed. QUORUM Mr. Nagengast called the meeting to order at Ms. Jamerson moved to approve Resolution EDC15- 4:30 p.m. and declared a quorum with three (3) members in attendance. 18 for Bernard Lee Jr., 6527 South Rangeline Road. Mr. Stephenson seconded. Motion passed MINUTES unanimously; 3 yes, 0 no. Mr. Nagengast called for the minutes of July 12, 2018 to be approved. Mr. Stephenson made a ADJOURNMENT motion to approve July 12, 2018 minutes and Ms. Mr. Nagengast adjourned the meeting at 4:49 p.m. Jamerson seconded. This motion passed unanimously; 3 yes, 0 no. NEW BUSINESS Resolution EDC 14-18 A Resolution Recommending Residential Tax Abatement for Anthony Wilson and Alexa Troutman, 6517 Turf Way Mr. Winkler briefed Commission Members on Resolution EDC14-18 residential tax abatement for Anthony Wilson and Alexa Troutman, 6517 Turf Way. Mr. Winkler stated the address is located in the Apple Downs Addition, Lot 57 and improvements to the property will be at an estimated cost of $257,745. Mr. Wilson was introduced and briefed members on construction. Brief discussion followed. The request is for a three year tax abatement, as it is not considered in-fill housing. Construction will commence before December 31, 2018, for a single- family dwelling intended for human habitation.
