Village of Angel Fire PO Box 610 Angel Fire, NM 87710 575-377-3232 Agenda of Public Meeting Pedestrian Trails Committee Meeting Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 9am at Community Center • Call to order 9:02 • Pledge of Allegiance • Roll Call - Brian Smith, Carolyn Smith, Melissa Grassmick (Village), Santos Trey Martinez, Randy Kaiser, Lonny Natter, Diane Merenes, Katrina White. A quorum was established. • Approval of Agenda - yes • Approval of Minutes from March 27 Meeting - Not ready • Old Business A. Frank Young Trail Extension (Including to the Blinking Light) Update — It will be resurfaced. Village for a grant from blinking light to Camino Real to Allen Fields, to HS, Allen Fields to existing FY trail. There is a delay, it might have to go into next year. B. Signage for FY Ext. - Brian will give village signage verbiage but village won’t do anything until they are ready to build. We can look at his verbiage next meeting and we can vote. Kiosks only done by Resort, not village. Will name the branches of the trail Frank Young Spurs. C. Brochure Update Plans - No updates. Brian was hoping Patrick would be here to give update.  • New Business A. Recently Passed Firewise Ordinance - the ground needs to be cleared up to 6ft. Village doesn’t have trails that need to be cleared. Resort does have some work to get done. The Village (Fire Chief) enforces this. They will advise to what has to be done. B. Brochure Boxes - 3 are smashed and useless (Deer, Sage and Bear) another one is broken (at the lake). Normally this committee provides these boxes. Not sure how this has happened in the past. Boy Scouts? They could get a badge or pin for the work. Maybe we should go to digital signage on the trails to lead them to a mobile- friendly website. Then have brochures at Visitors center. • Reports & Updates A. Sendero South B. Frank Young (Existing) Trail C. Bobcat D. Sage E. Lady Slipper F. Oesta Vista G. Parking H. AAFPO • Requests and Responses from the Audience - couple here that lives near Lady Slipper and they can walk it and tell the committee how it is doing. • Next Meeting Date and Adjournment - Monday or Tuesday, July 15 or 16 at 3:30 at Community Center.
