Pedestrian Trails Committee Meeting Minutes
Monday, July 15th, 2019 at 3:30 pm at the Community Center
I. Call to Order-Brian Smith called to order at 3:45 pm
II. Pledge of Allegiance
III. Roll Call-Randy Kaiser, Lonny Natter, Santos Martinez, Brian Smith, Carolyn Smith, Patrick
West. Quorum established. Shay Tibljas-Village representative, Audience-Chuck Howe,
Tucker.
IV. Approval of Agenda-Lonny 1st, Brian 2nd
V. Approval of Minutes from the March 27th, 2019 Meeting and May 29th Meeting-Randy 1st,
Santos 2nd.
VI. Old Business
A. Frank Young Trail Extension (Including to the Blinking Light) Update-Brian stated that he is
good with the new letter for the Davis’ in regard to their property. Submit letter and then
the trail should be a go where they are concerned. Brian has a map pf where trash is owned
by the Village and Resort. Shay will get map to Patrick showing the Resort’s property
boundaries.
B. Progress on Cougar Trail-Patrick stated they are flagging the trail and zoning. Will get
machine going soon, and hope to be completed by end of Sept., 2019.
C. Brochure Update Plans-Brian stated we have enough for this season.
D. Progress on Brochure Boxes-Patrick has 2 boxes. Shay will get one for Bear. Will then need
one more.
VII. New Business
A. What is needed to satisfy the Firewise Ordinance for Greenbelt Trails-Brian stated he
walked the trails with Christy and Garrett to see what each trail needed. Oesta Vista is the
worst. Hardest to do too. No prescribed burn allowed on Resort Property thus far.
B. Cleaning off weeds on Village Trails (Bobcat, Sendero, Solar, and part of Frank Young
Trail)-Shay stated that there is no longer a Maintenance Department within the Village, so
the trails won’t look the best for a while. The Village is in the process of contracting the
maintenance out, possibly to the Resort.

XI. Next Meeting Date and Adjournment-Brian motioned to adjourn; Randy seconded. Adjourned
at 4:22 PM. Next meeting August 14th, 3:30 PM at the Community Center
