Larcom, Jr. Building, 2nd Floor Council Chambers, 301 E. Huron Street. ROLL CALL (KAYLA COLEMAN) Kayla Coleman called the roll. Non-voting Commission members: Raymond Hess, Liz Margolis, Sergent Bill Clock, Non-voting Commission members absent: Steve Dolen, Howard Lazarus, Matt Webb Present: 8- Linda Diane Feldt, Robert Gordon, Bradley Parsons, Timothy Hull, Julie Boland, Kyra Sims, Molly Kleinman, and Kathy Griswold Absent: 2- Michael Firn, and Scott Trudeau APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA (LINDA DIANE FELDT) Approval of Agenda Approval of Minutes 19-0500 Transportation Commission Meeting Minutes of February 20, 2019 A motion was made by Boland, seconded by Sims, that the Consent Agenda be Approved by the Commission and the minutes City of Ann Arbor Page 1 Transportation Commission Meeting Minutes March 20, 2019 forwarded to the City Council and should be returned by 4/15/2019. On a unanimous voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT - 3 MINUTES PER SPEAKER (LINDA DIANE FELDT) Charnetski - Crosswalks BUSINESS Micro-Mobility Committee Update (SCOTT TRUDEAU AND MOLLY KLEINMAN) Update on committee activities provided by Commissioner Kleinman. 19-0503 Micro-Mobility Committee Materials Received and Filed Energy Commission Electric Vehicle (EV) Readiness Subcommittee - Transportation Commission representative (LINDA DIANE FELDT) A motion was made by Boland, seconded by Kleinman, that Commissioner Gordon represent the Transportation Commission on the Energy Commission's EV Readiness Subcommittee. On a unanimous voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried. INFORMATION AND DISCUSSION Six Es:Education, Enforcement, Engineering, Encouragement, Evaluation, and Equity Presentation (RAYMOND HESS) 19-0501 Six Es Presentation Received and Filed Six Es Discussion (LINDA DIANE FELDT) Commissioner questions and comments included: - Bike lights available at City Hall Customer Service Desk - Health impact analyses - Interest in a sub-committee for evaluation of pedestrian crash data - Street light outages: concerns, importance, prioritzation City of Ann Arbor Page 2 Transportation Commission Meeting Minutes March 20, 2019 - Interest in further exploring "equity" - Crosswalk assessment - 'No' for sufficiency, why? - Champion and Include Vision Zero accross all Es Six Es - Commissioner Assignments (LINDA DIANE FELDT) Commissioners volunteered to champion particular topics for the Six Es Exercise: Evaluate- Griswold Educate- Feldt Engineer- Boland and Staff Encourage- To be determined Enforce- Kleinman Equity- Parsons, Hull ADMINISTRATOR'S UPDATE (HOWARD LAZARUS) Commissioner Lazarus was not present to provide an update. STAFF REPORT AND UPDATES (RAYMOND HESS) Commissioner questions and comments included: -MDOT feedback on off-peak parking on Huron St.? -Huron High School multi-use path- repair/replacement -Opportunity for bike lanes on Fuller? -Status of Transportation Plan Update public engagement process, advisory/steering committees? 19-0505 Transportation Project Updates March 2019 Received and Filed LIAISON REPORTS (LINDA DIANE FELDT) Commissioner Sims: The Ride is holding a wheelchair ramp upgrade pre-launch event, March 26, 3:30 - 6:30 at MCity. COMMISSION MEMBER COMMUNICATIONS (LINDA DIANE FELDT) No Commissioner communications were provided.
