On a unanimous voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried. Barton Drive Resurfacing and Water Main Replacement Project Presentation (JANE ALLEN) Commissioner questions and comments included: - Vegetation impacts. - Crosswalk lighting and Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs). - Vehicle speeds. - Advisory bike lanes versus "sharrows" (shared bike/car arrows). - Traffic diversion during construction. - Sidewalk funding. - Sidewalk opposition. - On-street parking removal. 19-1939 Barton Drive Resurfacing and Water Main Replacement Project (M-14 to Pontiac) - Transportation Features Received and Filed City of Ann Arbor Page 2 Transportation Commission Meeting Minutes - Final October 16, 2019 Barton Drive Parking Removal Resolution (LINDA DIANE FELDT) 19-1978 Barton Drive Parking Removal Resolution A motion was made by Kleinman, seconded by Parsons, that the Barton Drive Parking Removal Resolution be Approved by the Commission and forwarded to the City Council and should be returned by 11/18/2019. On a voice vote, the Chair declared the motion carried with a No vote by Councilmember Griswold. FY 20 Policy Agenda Input (LINDA DIANE FELDT) Referred to the Transportation Commission due back on 11/20/2019. Commissioner questions and comments included: - Michigan House Bill No. 4738. - Bill at City Council concerning speeding in school zones. - Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) ease of request for pedestrian infrastructure.
