updating and amending certain sections of Chapters 17.12, 17.16, 17.18,
17.24, 17.28, 17.40 and 17.44 of the Code of the City of Annapolis;
adopting the ICC International Swimming Pool and Spa Code; conforming
references to certain ICC Building Codes as set forth in the Code of
Maryland Regulations (COMAR); and matters generally relating to updating
and amending certain portions of Title 17.

Planning and Zoning Director Gutwald gave an introduction of the legislation and
answered questions from the committee. Chief of Code Enforcement Menassa gave a
presentation on the legislation and answered questions from the committee.

Alderman Paone moved to recommend favorbably with amendment #1 as
follows: Amendment No 1:
Page 17, line 18, insert “SECTION III: AND BE IT FURTHER ESTABLISHED
AND ORDAINED BY THE ANNAPOLIS CITY COUNCIL that O-15-16 applies
prospectively to applications for building permits submitted after the effective
date of this ordinance. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote.

O-51-16 The Conveyance of part of the unimproved portion of the City-owned right
of way containing the road bed of Castlegate Drive to the Lydia May Grant

of Castlegate Drive to the Lydia May Grant Revocable Trust; expressly
authorizing said conveyance to be made at private sale and not at public
auction; and matters generally relating to said conveyance.
