Call To Order Alderman Pfeiffer called the Meeting to order at 5:00 PM. Rollcall Alderman Ian Pfeiffer, Ross Arnett and Fred Paone 3. Business before Committee a. Approval of Minutes FC020414 Minutes of February 4, 2014 Attachments: 04-Feb-2014 Alderman Paone moved to approve the minutes of February 2, 2014 Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. 4. General Discussion ID-13-048 Financial Advisory Commission Report Attachments: Collaborative Stewardship for Financial Improvement 11-15-2013 Fred Sussman, Chairman of the Financial Advisory Commission, spoke on the Commissions recent report to the council. Lee Finney spoke about the funding of the previously unfunded liabilities. Bruce Miller, Finance Director, spoke on the overall city finances. Ross Dierdorf spoke about the recommendations in the report. Alderwoman Finlayson spoke about implementation of the recommendations. Bob Burdon spoke on the report and it's implementation. Alderman Pfeiffer requested that Mr. Miller create a matrix to address how the recommendations can be implemented. ID-13-097 Law Department work flow City Attorney Murnane spoke on the topic. Mr. Murnane discussed the work of the Law Office Staff. Grant Approvals GA-34-13 MEIMSS FY2014 ALS GRANT Attachments: GA-34-14 short GA-34-10 Budget Form Finance Director Miller was called to speak.Battallian Comander Butler spoke on the grant. Alderman Paone moved to approve . Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Aye: 3- Alderman Pfeiffer, Alderman Arnett and Alderman Paone GA-23-14 City Hall Capital Project Grant Attachments: GA-23-14 Bruce Miller, Finance Director spoke on the Grant. Alderman Arnett moved to approve . Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Aye: 3- Alderman Pfeiffer, Alderman Arnett and Alderman Paone 2. Legislation before Committee R-6-14 Filing of Grant Application with the Maryland Transit Administration Attachments: R-6-14.docx Staff Report.docx Fiscal Impact Note R-6-14 Finance Committee Report R-6-14 Bruce Miller, Finance Director suggested that the fiscal year be added to the title of the legislation Alderman Arnett moved to amend the legislation to add the Fiscal year of the grant to the title. Seconded. The motion CARRIED by voice vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Pfeiffer, Alderman Arnett and Alderman Paone Alderman Arnett moved to recommend favorably contingent upon the receipt of a copy of the grant by the council .
