Call To Order Chairman Pfeiffer called the meeting to order at 5:08 p.m. Rollcall Present: 2- Alderman Pfeiffer and Alderman Arnett Absent: 1- Alderman Paone Closed Session Statement Pursuant to the requirement of Maryland Annotated Code, State Government Article 3-305(b) (3) (Check all that apply) this statement is included in these minutes: A closed session of the joint Finance/ Economic Matters Committees was held at 3:22 p.m., Thursday January 8, 2015 in the Mayor John T. Chambers Jr., City Council Chambers located at 160 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, Maryland 21401. Present: Alderman Pfeiffer, Alderman Arnett, Alderwomen Finlayson and Alderman Budge. Staff Present: City Attorney Leahy, City Manager Andrews, Public Works Director Jarrell, Finance Director Miller, and Office Administrator Pletzer. A roll call vote was taken by the members present, and the session was closed. The authority under which the session was closed was Maryland Annotated Code, State Government Article, 3-305(b) (3) to discuss R-32-14. No actions were taken in closed session. Upon duly made, seconded, and adopted, the closed session was adjourned at 5:10 p.m. 2. General Discussion ID-18-15 Presentation of City’s Finances given by Joe Mason from Davenport and Co. Finance Director Miller gave a brief outline of the proposed presentation. Joseph D. Mason Vice President of Davenport & Company LLC., 901 East Cary Street, Virginia 23219 gave a in depth presentation on the City's finances, and answered questions from the committee. Grant Approvals GA-23-15 MIEMSS (Maryland Institute of Emergency Medical Services System) Matching AED/Monitor Grant FY2015 Attachments: GA-23-15 Briefing Documents Office Administrator Pletzer gave a brief explanation on the status of the grant. Alderman Arnett moved to approve. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Aye: 2- Alderman Pfeiffer and Alderman Arnett Absent: 1- Alderman Paone 4. General Discussion ID-17-15 Discussion of Core Values Alderman Arnett gave a brief report on core values. This Informational Item was presented 5.
