Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Finance Committee Finance Committee Standing Committee Minutes December 19, 2018 1. Call To Order Chairman Arnett called the meeting to order at 9:07 a.m. 2. Roll Call Present: 3- Alderman Arnett, Alderman Paone and Alderman Finlayson 3. Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Alderman Paone moved to adopt the Agenda. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Arnett, Alderman Paone and Alderman Finlayson 4. Business before Committee a. Approval of Minutes FC12.05.18 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting Alderman Paone moved to approve. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Arnett, Alderman Paone and Alderman Finlayson b. Supplemental Appropriations SA-37-19 Revenue: County Operating Grant Expenditure: Supplies Grant Expense Finance Operations Manager Pletzer, and Finance Director Dickinson were present and answered questions from the committee. Alderwoman Finlayson would like report showing what the Volunteer Firefighters provide for the City. Alderwoman Finlayson moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Arnett, Alderman Paone and Alderman Finlayson 5. Legislation before Committee O-43-18 Supplemental Allocations - For the purpose of authorizing the City Manager to transfer funds in the annual operating budget under certain circumstances. Finance Director Dickinson was present and answered questions from the committee. Alderman Paone moved to recommend favorably. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Arnett, Alderman Paone and Alderman Finlayson 6. General Discussion c. ID-18-18 Update from the Finance Department City of Annapolis Page 1 Finance Committee Standing Committee Minutes December 19, 2018 Finance Director Dickinson was present and provided the committee with an update. Alderman Paone would like the list of vehicles that will be purchased. Alderman Arnett would like information provided to the committee for budget purposes on the amount of vehicles that we have, and how many we need to make sure the City is not duplicating efforts. The Committee would like to see all department's enhancement requests prior to the budget season. The committee would like a letter sent to all Alderman/Alderwomen advising that if they have any Capital Improvement Projects that they would like to submit to please bring them to the proposed Work Session in January. 7.
