Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Finance Committee Finance Committee Standing Committee Meeting April 18, 2019 Minutes 1. Call To Order Chairman Arnett called the meeting to order at 9:42 a.m. 2. Roll Call Present: 3- Alderman Arnett, Alderman Paone and Alderwoman Finlayson 3. Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Finance Director Dickinson was present and answered questions from the committee. Alderwoman Tierney was present and addressed the committee. City Manager Sutherland was present and addressed the committee about a correction to the proposed budget. 4. Business before Committee a. Approval of Minutes ID-442-19 Capital Budget and CIP Review Finance Senior Accountant Connolly, Finance Director Dickinson, Public Works Director Jarrell, and Public Works Deputy Director Patrick were present and reviewed the Proposed Capital Budget and the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) with the committee. Alderwoman Finlayson would like to revisit the Hillman Garage conversation including the City Manager, Finance Director and Dan Niess. Project #40011 (Main Street Rebricking) Chairman Arnett would like to modify the description to add "if any changes are going to be made to the current curb line and sidewalk it must come back to Council and HPC for review and approval". Senior Accountant Connolly will re-write the description for Project #20004 Alderwoman Tierney was present and addressed the committee. City Manager Sutherland was present and answered questions from the committee. Alderwoman Finlayson moved to support replacing the Spa Rd Facility in it's current location. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderman Arnett, Alderman Paone and Alderwoman Finlayson 5. Legislation before Committee 6.
