Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Finance Committee Finance Committee Standing Committee Meeting February 1, 2023 Minutes - Final Call To Order Alderwoman Tierney called the Finance Regular Meeting to order at 10:37am. Roll Call Alderwoman Tierney, Alderwoman Finlayson and Alderwoman O'Neill Approval of Agenda (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Alderwoman Finlayson moved to approve the Finance Committee agenda. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Business and Miscellaneous Approval of Minutes FC 1.4.23 Regular Meeting Minutes Attachments: FC 1.4.23 Alderwoman Finlayson moved to approve FC 1.4.23. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Election of Chairman Pursuant to City Code Section 2.16.120 Alderwoman O'Neill moved to approve Alderwoman Tierney to continue as Chair of the Finance Committee. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. Fund Transfers FT-2-23 General - Public Works - This budget revision transfers $32,000 from salaries and benefits to contractual services within the Department of Public Works Engineering and Construction division. This will allow the Department of Public Works to continue the contract with Mead & Hunt for traffic engineering services for the remainder of the fiscal year. There are salary savings due to vacancies in the division. Attachments: FT-2-23 City Council Budget Revision (PDF) Public Works Assistant Director Patrick was present and answered questions from the committee. Alderwoman Finlayson moved to recommend FT-2-23 favorably. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. City of Annapolis Page 2 Finance Committee Standing Committee Meeting February 1, 2023 Minutes - Final FT-3-23 General - Public Works - This budget revision transfers $49,000 of salaries and benefits (Department of Public Works-Buildings division) and $27,700 of salaries and benefits (Department of Public Works -Traffic Control and Maintenance division) to contractual services (Department of Public Works-Buildings division). This will allow the Department of Public Works to pay for vent cleaning in City Hall and the Forest Drive Fire Station. There are salary savings due to vacancies in the divisions. Alderwoman O'Neill moved to recommend FT-3-23 favorably. Seconded. CARRIED on voice vote. General Discussion Update from the Finance Department - Director Dickinson Finance Director Dickinson was present and answered questions from the committee.
