Legislation before Committee O-41-18 Emergency Procurement - For the purpose of authorizing the appropriation of funds for an emergency procurement; and for establishing a procedure for the procurement of goods and services during an emergency. City Manager Sutherland was present and answered questions from committee. Alderman Paone moved to recommend O-41-18 favorably. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. Miguez Annapolis Police Department's Strategic Plan Block Watcher ID Numbers - Assignment City of Annapolis Page 1 Public Safety Committee Standing Committee Minutes December 3, 2018 Chief's Advisory Team Net Officer Program Drug Abuse Resistance Education Training "DARE" ID-308-18 AFD Update: Written Report and Comments, Year to Date Overdose Summary Deputy Fire Chief's Remaley and Simmons were present and answered questions from the committee regarding: 454 Drug Overdoses 127 Emergency Treatments Administered of Narcan being a narcotic blocker used to treat narcotic drug overdoses. 252 - Required an additional Emergency Treatment of Narcan to restore individual. Annapolis Police Department & Annapolis Fire: Safe Station Program, which is designated as a safe environment for individuals looking for assistance to start their path to recovery from heroin/opioid addiction. - In 2018, 152 Individuals visited the safe stations. ID-311-18 OEM Presentation: Active Assailant Training Director Of Emergency Management Simmons was present and answered questions from the committee regarding: Topics: 2018 YTD Overdose Summary: 170- Total Overdoses in 2018, which is a 14% increase from the overdoses in 2017. 9 - Overdoses from other/Unknown drugs 34 - Phencyclidine "PCP" Usage 127 - Herion / Other Opioid usuage 9 - Total Fatal Overdoses in 2018, this is a 25% decrease from the 12 fatal overdoses in 2017. Police Chief Baker was present to answer the question from the committee and the citizens present. The order of the agenda was resumed. 6.
