Chambers, Jr. City Council Chambers Public Safety Committee Public Safety Committee Standing Committee Minutes February 4, 2019 1. Call To Order Chairwoman Pindell Charles called the meeting to order at 6:12 p.m. 2. Roll Call Present: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Alderwoman Henson 3. Agenda Approval (any changes to the agenda should be made here) Alderman Paone moved to adopt the Regular Meeting Agenda. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Alderwoman Henson 4. Business before Committee a. Approval of Minutes PSC01.07.1 Approval of Minutes for the Regular Meeting 9 Alderman Paone moved to approve. Seconded. A roll call vote was taken. The motion CARRIED by the following vote: Aye: 3- Alderwoman Pindell Charles, Alderman Paone and Alderwoman Henson ID-328-18 “Public Safety: Spotlight!”-APD Police Chief Baker was present and recognized officers. ID-329-18 “Public Safety: Spotlight!”-AFD Fire Chief Stokes was present and recognized an EMS Supervisor. ID-330-18 “Public Safety: Spotlight!”-OEM Deputy Fire Chief/Office of Emergency Management Director Simmons and Exercise & Training/Outreach Coordinator Thomas were present and recognized volunteers. Debbie Saylor, representing Anne Arundel County Health Department, was present and addressed the committee. Bruce Moore was present and addressed the committee. Ron Bowler and John Bowes were present and addressed the committee. General Coleman and Chaplin Copp, representing the US VRC, were present and addressed the committee. Ruth were present and answered questions from the committee. ID-333-18 “Public Safety: Did You Know?” - APD Chief Baker and Lt. Krauss were present and answered questions from the committee. ID-334-18 APD Update: Written Report and Comments, Year to Date Overdose Summary Police Chief Baker was present and answered questions from the committee. ID-335-18 AFD Update: Written Report and Comments, Year to Date Overdose Summary Fire Chief Stokes and Deputy Chief Simmons were present and answered questions from the committee. 5.
