RECORD OF PROCEEDINGS ASHVILLE COUNCIL REGULAR SESSION Held: FEBRUARY 3, 2020 Page 1 0f 2 The Council ofAshville convened in Regular Session from 6:32 PM to 6:58 PM in the Council Meeting Room at 200 East Station Street, Ashville, Ohio 43103. Mayor Wise called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence. The following members and visitors were present: Mr. RANDY LOVELESS Present Mr. NELSON EMBREY Present Ms. TRACIE SORVILLO Present Mr. BRAD LUTZ Present Mr. ROGER CLARK Present Mr. DAVID RAINEY Present EMPLOYEE(S): Franklin Christman and Chiefleff George GUEST(S): Danielle Glass and Brittany Donelly MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: Roger Clark moved, seconded by Randy Loveless, to approve the minutes of the January 27, 2020 Regular Session as presented. All votes were yea. DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR: The VA delivered his written report which included updates 0n the WWTP issues. Roger Clark asked the VA ifthe village has spent any ofthe village’s money 0n repairing the WWTP issues. The VA said, “Yes“ but he is going to request a refund. The VA also stated that a bearing problem has been detected at the plant. Clark asked ifthe village is responsible for the cost ofreplacement. Mayor Wise said he had talked to Adam Kehoe who said the part is covered by warranty. GUEST(S): Danielle Glass of 6 May Avenue said that she and her neighbors are having problems with their properties being soaked from the drainage coming from the barrier ofland surrounding the WWTP. She asked that the village please look into xing the issue to prevent their properties from ooding when it rains. Nelson Embrey instructed the VA to get the village engineer to look at correcting the problem. LEGISLATION: RESOLUTION(S) FOR FIRST READING 02-2020 THE FOLLOWING FINAL RESOLUTION ENACTED BY THE VILLAGE 0F ASHVILLE OHIO HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS THE LEGISLATIVE AUTHORITYZLOCAL PUBLIC AGENCY 0R "LPA". IN THE MATTER OF THE STATED DESCRIBED PROIECT. David Rainey moved, seconded by Brad Lutz, to have the First Reading. All votes were yea. After the reading, Nelson Embrey moved, seconded by Roger Clark, to accept the First Reading, suspend the Rules ofCouncil, waive the Second and Third Readings and adopt. All votes were yea. COUNCIL COMMENTS: 1. Roger Clark asked that Jim Welsh attend the February 10 Committee ofthe Whole meeting to discuss the future of the water treatment plant. Clark also asked the VA where the Village plans t0 put a new water tower. The VA said that Teays Valley has offered land near little league ballfield at no cost which will help with their low water pressure. The VA said this could be a good location. 2. Brad Lutz announced that he resigned from the City of Delaware to take a position with the City of Marysville. At 6:58 PM, Nelson Embrey moved, seconded by Randy Loveless, to adjourn the meeting. All votes were yea and the meeting adjourned.
