NOTICE OF BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING The Board of Zoning Adjustment for the City of Athens, Alabama, will hold a work session at 5:15 p.m., followed by the regular meeting at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, at 200 W. Hobbs Street, on Thursday, December 15, 2016, for the purpose of hearing the following applications and appeals. At this time, the applicant and all interested parties are requested to be present and will be given the opportunity to be heard. Case #1 Old Business (No Public Hearing) - Request of Michael Alldredge for an Appeal / Special Exception to operate a firearms dealership as a Home Occupation at 13625 Rising Run Circle. Said address is in a R-1-3 Residential District in Fieldstone Subdivision. The applicant is appealing a decision by the Zoning Official not to grant approval. Case #2 Request of Melissa Knudtson for a zoning boundary interpretation and variance to construct a home on the site. The property is located at 1815 Market Street West and zoned B-1 Neighborhood Business and R-1-2 Residential. Case #3 Request of John Stewart for a variance to locate a swimming pool outside of the area to the rear of his home. The property is located at 17668 Owens Street and is zoned R-1-1 Residential.
