Officer Shirlisa Howard gave an overview of the Pretrial Intervention Program. _______ 5. Officer Brandon Andrews gave an overview of the Athens-Clarke County DUI/DRUG Treatment Court. _________________________________________________________ 6. Officer William “Ty” Fulcher gave an overview of the Western Judicial Circuit Felony Drug Court, the Western Judicial Circuit Treatment and Accountability Court (TAC), and the Western Judicial Circuit Veterans Court.____________________________________ 7. Officer Jason Kelley gave an overview of the Western Judicial Circuit Family Treatment Court (FTC), and Counselor Kenshundria Allen gave an overview of the Phoenix Project._________________________________________________________________ 8. Chief Mark Pulliam gave an Overview of the Pre-Arrest Diversion Program and the Temporary Protective Order TPO/FVIP Compliance Officer. ______________________ 9. Officer Cecily Evans gave an overview of the Athens Drug Lab.____________________ 10. Sherrie Hines announced the Mayor and Commission approved a local declaration of emergency, which means that when Athens-Clarke County is in a high community level of COVID-19 transmission, masks are required in public spaces. Athens-Clarke County policies when experiencing a COVID-19 high community level have a strong preference toward remote meetings or being in large spaces where people can practice social distancing. The declaration will run through August 3, 2022, and the Board has the option to hold meetings virtually until then. __________________________________________ Votes Taken with Motion / Second / Results (Unanimous or Number of Yes / No Votes and names) (if applicable): Omar Reid made a motion to approve amended minutes from July 13, 2022 meeting. Felix Bell seconded the motion. Motion was approved unanimously. ______________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________ Felix Bell made a motion to select a date for the Board to meet with the National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (NACOLE). Timothy Pierce-Tomlin seconded the motion. After some discussion, Felix Bell withdrew the motion in favor for Jocelyn Crumpton’s Motion. _____________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________ Jocelyn Crumpton made a motion to select a date to meet with NACOLE that falls on a Wednesday or Thursday. Felix Bell seconded the motion. Timothy Pierce-Tomlin seconded the motion.
