1) CALL CITY COUNCIL MEETING TO ORDER
a. Welcome and Roll Call – Mayor Bob Abercrombie welcomed all in
attendance and called roll. Those in attendance were Council Members Al
Kettle, Shaun Murray, Secretaries Kaelyn Meyers, Tasha Crum, and Anissa
McDonald.
Council Members Nile Mathisen and Ben Allred were excused.
b. Prayer – Al Kettle
c. Pledge of Allegiance – Said by all present.
d. Conflicts of Interests -- All Council Members who have a conflict with any item
on the agenda please state concern.
o No conflicts were stated.
2) SHOP WITH A COP DONATION RATIFICATION –
Council Members agreed to donate to Vernal City’s shop with a cop.
Motion made by Council Member Al Kettle to donate $1000 towards Vernal
City’s shop with a cop, 2nd by Council Member Shaun Murray. All in favor.

3) POTENTIAL PROJECTS 2026 –
Mayor Bob Abercrombie discussed with Council Members upcoming projects for
next year including repaving the parking lot at the office.
Jeff Baker from Jones & DeMille Engineering discussed a possible project at Pole
line road and on 2000 south both on 1500 east. The project would cost
approximately $250,000 to widen those intersections to make it safer for semi-trucks
to make those turns, if council is interested in fixing it Jeff will proceed with Ben
Mower to communicate with oil companies and proceed with the project. Council
members stated that this is a project that needs to be taken care of and agreed to
move forward.
4) TRAININGS FOR COUNCIL—
Mayor Bob Abercrombie said that there will be a UBAOG training on April 1, and
open meetings training in January.

5) 1000 S ROAD PROJECT MOU –
Project MOU is waiting for legal response.
6) ENGINEERING UPDATE –
No further updates.
7) UINTAH COUNTY SHERIFF / COMMISSION REPORTS –
Deputy Pratt gave update from Uintah County Sheriff’s Office.
8) BOARD MEETING UPDATES –
Council Member Al Kettle gave update from Water Board Meeting.
9) OFFICE / PROJECTS REPORT –
Reminder of after Christmas Party on is January 9 at 6:00 pm at Swains Roadhouse
in Roosevelt.
10) REVIEW AND CORRECT MINUTES --
a. Council Meeting December 02, 2025
Motion made by Council Member to approve minutes of December 2, 2025 as , 2nd
by Council Member . All in favor.

11) FOLLOW-UP ON PAST MINUTES –
No follow-up.
12) MAYOR’S REPORT—
Mayor Bob Abercrombie went over fire report.
13) COUNCIL REPORTS –
Council Member Al Kettle – Nothing to report on.
Council Member Nile Mathisen – Was excused.
Council Member Ben Allred – Was excused.
Council Member Shaun Murray – went over bank reconciliation.
14) FINANCES: Checks, Statements, Reports and Budget
Checks and finances were gone over and approved.
Motion made by Council Member Al Kettle to approve finances, 2nd by Council
Member Shaun Murray, All in favor.

15) ADJOURN COUNCIL MEETING
Motion made by Council Member Shaun Murray to adjourn meeting at 7:55 pm,
2nd by Council Member Al Kettle. All in favor.
