The meeting was called to order by Chairman Haug at 6:00 p.m. ROLL CALL Present​ ​ ​ ​ ​ ​ Absent Alderman Mark Stallmann Jimmy Terbrock Megan Gibson Elizabeth Davis Sandy Grassi Pamela Haug Sam Biver Sue Pyles​ Susan Harris Pat McDermott City Administrator Eric Sterman Parks Director Chris Conway MINUTES The Minutes from the February 12, 2024 Park and Recreation Citizen Advisory Committee meeting were submitted for approval. A motion to approve as submitted was made by Pat McDermott and Seconded by Megan Gibson. A voice vote was taken with unanimous affirmative result and the motion passed. STAFF REPORT A.​ Park and Recreation Director Chris Conway provided an update on the Vlasis Park Playground Projoect. He stated the demolition of the current playground has been started and the contractor should be onsite by May 8, 2024 to begin sitework and preparation for the new playground. B.​ Park and Recreation Director Chris Conway discussed four options for the committee to consider for improvement to tennis and pickleball courts at Vlasis, New Ballwin and Holloway Parks. Pat McDermott made a motion and seconded by Sue Pyles to accept Staff’s recommendations. A voice vote was taken with unanimous affirmative result and the motion was passed. C.​ Chairman Haug announced that she has been elected to be a Ward 2 Alderman and requested nominations for her replacement as Chairman of the Comittee. Sue Pyles volunteered, Pat Mc Dermott made a motion and seconded by Elizabeth Davis to elect Sue Pyles as the Chairman of the Park and Recreation Citizens Advisory Committee. A voice vote was taken with unanimous affirmative result and the motion was passed. ADJOURMENT A motion was made by Sue Pyles and seconded by Pat McDermott to adjourn.
