6: 00 p. m. at the Bastrop City Hall Council Chambers, located at 1311 Chestnut Street, Bastrop, Texas. and
Members present were Chair Jimmy Crouch, Betty Rucker, Kelly Dawson, Dorothy Skarnulis, Barbara
Wolanski, Jamie Creacy, and Margaret Robinson. Staff present were Curtis Hancock, Heather Ambrose,
David JunekCouncilman Lyle Nelsonand YMCA Director Terry Moore.
1. CALL TO ORDER
At 6: 00 p. m. Chair Jimmy Crouch call the meeting to order with a quorum being present. Youth Board
Member Allison Hewitt was absent.
2A. Parks and Recreation Report
Presentation was made by Parks Superintendent David Junek. Handouts were given for
proposed Dog Park enhancements and staff operational updates.
2B. Bastrop State Park Report
Presentation was made by Board Member Jamie Creacy, Bastrop State Park Superintendent.
Councilman Lyle Nelson stated to the Parks Board that Senate and House Joint Resolutions have
been submitted that would appropriate all revenue generated by state sales tax on sporting goods
automatically to Texas parks.
2C. Bastrop YMCA Report
Presentation was made by Bastrop YMCA Director Terry Moore.
2D. Youth Parks Activity Committee (YPAC) Report
Youth Representative Allison Hewitt was not in attendance and no written report was provided.
2E. Bird City Coalition
Presentation was made by Board Member Dorothy Skarnulis related to Bird City Texas noting
Bastrop was selected as 1 of 5 to work with Audubon Society and TWPD to complete the
certification standards for selection for 2020.

None.
