MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Gordy Vogt and Judith Mudge MEMBERS ABSENT: Commissioner Jennifer Cappell STAFF PRESENT: Vicki Houser, Larry Hausman, Martin Erskine, Chris Love, Walter Hardy CALL TO ORDER: Comm. Vogt called the meeting to order at 4:01 PM and recognized that a quorum was present. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. A motion was made by Comm. Mudge, supported by Comm. Vogt to approve the Civil Service Commission August 27, 2012 meeting minutes. All yes, none opposed. Motion approved. PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS Ms. Houser noted the Clerk’s office received communication from the Department of Civil Rights regarding the dismissal of the complaint from Jason J. Crape, Sr. and Mihaly A. Drabik. REPORTS There were none. UNFINISHED BUSINESS There was none. NEW BUSINESS 1. Authorize the City Clerk to proceed with the “Fire Inspector’s Exam.” Comm. Vogt stated the first order of business was to authorize the City Clerk to proceed with the “Fire Inspector’s Exam” process. Comm. Vogt opened the floor for public comment. Seeing no public comment, a motion was made by Comm. Mudge, supported by Comm. Vogt, to authorize the City Clerk to proceed with the “Fire Inspector’s Exam” process. All yes, none opposed. Motion approved. 1  2. Authorize the City Clerk to proceed with the “Fire Training Officer’s Exam.” Comm. Vogt stated the next order of business was to authorize the City Clerk to proceed with the “Fire Training Officer’s Exam” process. Comm. Vogt opened the floor for public comment. Seeing no public comment, a motion was made by Comm. Mudge, supported by Comm. Vogt, to authorize the City Clerk to proceed with the “Fire Training Officer’s Exam” process. All yes, none opposed.
