MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Judith Mudge, Gary Green MEMBERS ABSENT: Commissioner Jennifer Cappell STAFF PRESENT: Vicki Houser, Susan Bedsole, Larry Hausman, Martin Erskine, Howard Holt and Chris Love CALL TO ORDER: President Mudge called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM, noting Comm. Cappell was not able to attend the meeting due to a business commitment. President Mudge noted a quorum was present. PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS: There were no petitions or communications APPROVAL OF MINUTES: 1. A motion was made by Comm. Green, supported by Comm. Mudge, to approve the Civil Service Commission February 25, 2013 meeting minutes. All yes, none opposed. Motion approved. REPORTS: There were no reports. NEW BUSINESS 1. Certify the “2013 Fire Captain’s Eligibility List” President Mudge noted the first order of business was for the Commission to certify the “2013 Fire Captain’s Eligibility List.” A motion was made by Comm. Green, supported by Comm. Mudge, to certify the “2013 Fire Captain’s Eligibility List.” All yes. Motion carried. 2. Certify the first candidate on the “2013 Fire Captain’s Eligibility List” (Chris Love) 1  President Mudge stated the next order of business was to certify the first candidate on the “2013 Fire Captain’s Eligibility List” – Chris Love. President Mudge opened the floor for public comment. Seeing no public comment, a motion was made by Comm. Green, supported by Comm. Mudge, to certify the next candidate on the “2013 Fire Captain’s Eligibility List” – Chris Love. All yes, none opposed. Motion approved. 3. Certify the next two candidates on the “2011 Fire Lieutenant Eligibility List” – James Ramey and Eric Haines) President Mudge stated the next order of business was to certify the next two candidates on the “2011 Fire Lieutenant Eligibility List” – James Ramey and Eric Haines. President Mudge opened the floor for public comment. Seeing no public comment, a motion was made by Comm. Green, supported by Comm. Mudge, to certify the next two candidates on the “2011 Fire Lieutenant Eligibility List” – James Ramey and Eric Haines. All yes, none opposed. Motion approved. 4. Authorize the City Clerk to proceed with the “Fire Training Officer’s Exam.” President Mudge stated the next order of business was to authorize the City Clerk to proceed with the “Fire Training Officer’s Exam.” President Mudge opened the floor for public comment. Seeing no public comment, a motion was made by Comm. Green, supported by Comm. Mudge, to authorize the City Clerk to proceed with the “Fire Training Officer’s Exam.” All yes, none opposed.
