MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Samuel Gray and Tim Martinovich MEMBERS ABSENT: Commissioner Judith Mudge STAFF PRESENT: Victoria Houser, Nancy Mullett CALL TO ORDER: Commissioner called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM and recognized that a quorum was present. PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS Clerk Houser reported a communication from Shane Holly requesting to be removed from the “2015 Fire Lieutenant Eligibility List.” APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. A motion was made by Comm. Martinovich, supported by Comm. Gray, to approve the Civil Service Commission August 24, 2015 meeting minutes, with the correct to item #1 regarding the removal from the list. All yes, none opposed. Motion approved. SETTING THE 2016 CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING SCHEDULE A motion was made by Comm. Martinovich, supported by Comm. Gray, to approve the 2016 Civil Service Commission Meeting Schedule. All yes, none opposed. Motion approved. REPORTS There were none. UNFINISHED BUSINESS There was none. NEW BUSINESS 1. Removal of Shane Holly from the “2015 Fire Lieutenant Eligibility List” Commissioner Gray stated the next order of business was the removal of Shane Holly from the “2015 Fire Lieutenant Eligibility List.” Commissioner Gray opened the floor for public comment. Clerk Houser noted verbal communication from Battalion Chief Erskine indicated Fire Fighter Holly took the test to gain experience with the testing and interview process, stating he did not feel the time was appropriate for a promotion. Seeing no public comment, a motion was made by Comm. Matinovich, supported by Comm. Gray, to remove Shane Holly from the “2015 Fire Lieutenant Eligibility List.” All yes, none opposed. Motion approved. PUBLIC COMMENTS There were no public comments. COMMISSION COMMENTS There were no Commission comments. ADJOURNMENT Commissioner Gray adjourned the meeting at 4:04 PM. 1
