City of Battle Creek Election Commission Meeting 10 N. Division Street – Room 112 Battle Creek, MI July 24, 2014 3:00 PM Present: Jill Steele, Steve Hudson and Vicki Houser Absent: None Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 3:00 P.M. Approval of Minutes: City Clerk Houser noted the first order of business was the approval of the June 4, 2014 meeting minutes. A motion was made by Steve Hudson, supported by Jill Steele, to approve the June 4, 2014 Election Commission meeting minutes. All yes, none opposed. Motion carried. Appointment of Election Inspectors for August 5, 2014: Clerk Houser informed the Commission that the Clerk’s Office would require 125 Election Inspectors for the August 5, 2014 Primary Election, to include the Receiving Board members, the Election Chairpersons, the Election Computer Operators and the Election Inspectors. A motion was made by Jill Steele, supported by Steve Hudson, to approve the hiring of 125 Election Inspectors for the August 5, 2014 Primary Election. All yes, none opposed. Motion approved. Public Accuracy Test: Clerk Houser noted the August 5, 2014 Primary Election Public Accuracy Test would be held Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 9:00 am in Room 112, the City Clerk’s Office. Ms. Houser noted the Public Accuracy Test was noticed in the July 24, 2014 Battle Creek Shopper. Public Comments: There were no public comments.
