Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 9:00 A.M.
Public Accuracy Test:
Clerk Houser presented the May 1, 2018 election test deck, stating the testing would be performed with an
expectation the Optical Scan Tabulator results would match the test deck provided.
Clerk Houser inserted each ballot, describing the reasoning for the ballot marking, and the expected result from the
tabulator.
Upon completion of the ballot testing, Ms. Houser printed the totals tape, confirming the totals matched the results on
the test deck, verifying the totals with Mr. Hudson.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Accuracy Test will be conducted for the Tuesday, May 8, 2018 Special Election, to test
the optical scan tabulation equipment to ascertain that it will accurately count the votes cast for all offices appearing on the ballot.
This test is also being conducted to demonstrate the computer program used to record votes cast. The Public Accuracy Test for each
respective jurisdiction will be conducted at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at the following locations:
CITY OF BATTLE CREEK – 10 N. Division, Room 111, Battle Creek, MI 49014
CITY OF SPRINGFIELD – 601 Avenue A, Springfield, MI 49037
CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF EMMETT – 621 Cliff Street, Battle Creek, MI 49014
CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF BEDFORD – 115 S. Uldriks Dr., Battle Creek, MI 49037
LEROY TOWNSHIP – Community Building, 8146 4 Mile Road, East Leroy, MI 49051
Individuals with disabilities requiring necessary reasonable, auxiliary aids or services, such as signers for the hearing impaired, and
audio tapes of printed material being considered in the Public Test, should contact the Cities of Battle Creek or Springfield, the
Charter Townships of Emmett and Bedford, or the Township of Leroy by writing or calling the following:
