The Authority can act on matters relating to potential or real emergencies. The Authority may add a matter of agency business to its agenda through majority vote. The Authority should state the reason why the action item is being added to the Agenda. The Authority may vote to add an action item(s) to the agenda COMMUNICATIONS ORAL/Public Comment: Please sign in, come to the podium at the appropriate time, state your name and address and what you are speaking about. Actual March 2022 REPORTS – SEWER: Engineer’s Report April 2022 Superintendent’s Report April 2022 REPORTS – WATER: Engineer’s Report March 2022 Superintendent’s Report April 2022 OLD BUSINESS: Bottling Big Spring Water – No updates at this time. Deed of Easement- Benner Pike Shopping Center Big Spring Cover Project. A special work session was held on April 14th to discuss options. PA DEP will not permit standing water on top of a cover. Beams used to hold a solid cover must be approximately 5 feet thick to traverse the spring pond which will substantially block the view of the pump house. The consensus was to consider a structure over the Spring that would allow the uncovered spring and the spring-facing side of the pump house to be viewable from within the structure. BH is now working in this direction. NEW BUSINESS: Consider approval of a waiver for excess water usage, 130 Florence Drive Daily Water Withdrawal April 2022 Consider a new date and time for the Authority meeting. Borough Council meets on the first and third Monday of the month. The Authority has been meeting on the first Tuesday of the month. Staff must prepare and send out both the council and authority packet on Friday proceeding the first Monday and Tuesday of the month. Depending on staff levels, this can be very difficult. Would the Authority consider moving their meetings to the second Tuesday of the month? If so, does the Authority want to consider keeping the same meeting time (6 PM) or something different?
