Agenda Items
Public Meeting
. Consider approval of 11/12/2024 Transportation Commission meeting minutes p. 2
Motion to approve by Tim Wilder. Motion carried 8-0.
. Eldridge Avenue Pilot Project p. 5
City Staff presented on the Eldridge Avenue Pilot Project and answered Commissioner questions
regarding the program. Next steps:
• Continue monitoring through spring 2025, as well as public input.
• Requires a smaller sweeper to clean the bike lanes, city currently uses a tool cat to blow debris
into travel lane followed by a street sweeper to pick up.
. Transportation Commission Annual Work Plan p. 19
City staff presented an updated version of the annual work plan and answered commissioner
questions. New topics for 2025:
• Climate action plan: adding scooter share program, city would need to develop new policies and
it is still up in the air if this will be a possibility.
• Joint Transportation Commission and Planning Commission meeting.
• Flexibility to adjust/move some topics that are scheduled early in the year to push back to
maybe September. (In April, WTA is important for that timeline).
. Transportation Commission Annual Meeting Calendar for 2025 p. 24
City staff recommendation is not to have an August meeting like in 2024. And to cancel November
12, 2025, meeting due to being a holiday; conference room may not be available. Keep on
calendar for now, follow up as we get closer. City staff suggests do 1 meeting for November and
December and hold it in the normal December time slot.
. Election of 2025 Officers p. 26
Addie put herself forward as Chair and Tim for Vice Chair. Motion to approve by Jamin. Motion
carried.
Chair Report
Changes from the mayor’s office for current members to extend their terms; at the end of each
term, they will need to do a recruitment, current commissioner whose term is expiring will need
to re-apply for this process won’t need to complete the supplemental questions or attend a
meeting (since already done) then brief interview. This change is the same for all boards &
commissions. Guidelines for outreach/recruitment is generally handled by the mayor’s office.
