Transportation Commission Minutes City of Bellingham, Washington Tuesday 6:00 PM Pacific Street Operations Center (entrance off Carolina June 10, 2025 Street) and ZOOM Video Recorded https://meetings.cob.org - Call To Order The Transportation Commission meeting was called to order by the Chair at 6:00 PM. Roll Call Members Present - Addie Candib, Chair (virtually attended the first 10 minutes) Tim Wilder, Vice Chair; Aaron Miller, Jamin Agosti, Cindy Dennis, Jacki Quinn Member Excused – Betty Sanchez Staff Present – Riley Grant, Dylan Casper, Mike Wilson, Karri Neuhauser, Elena Dixon Others Present – Hugh Conroy, Director Whatcom Council of Governments (WCOG) Others Virtually Present - Michelle Grandy (WCOG), Emily Moran (WCOG) Public Comment 3 minutes per person, 15 minutes max Andrea Reiter provided public comment on the Commute Trip Reduction program. Agenda Items . Transportation Commission meeting minutes approval p. 2 Motion to approve 5/13/2025 meeting minutes Jacki Quinn. Seconded by Cindy Dennis. Motion passed unanimously. . Whatcom Council of Governments Safety Action Plan p. 5 Hugh Conroy presented on the Whatcom Council of Governments (WCOG) Safety Action Plan. Hugh Conroy and city staff answered commissioner questions. . Commute Trip Reduction p. 27 Dylan Casper presented on the commute trip reduction. City staff and WCOG staff answered commissioner questions. This item will be brought back for further discussion and action at a future meeting. Chair Report Addie Candib – There are two vacancies for the commission. The process for filling the vacancies is underway with action anticipated prior to the commission meeting on July 8, 2025. Announcements Jamin Agosti discussed a Walk and Roll event held. Tim Wilder mentioned Whatcom Transportation Authority will be implementing service changes starting Sunday (6/15) to Squalicum Harbor, downtown, additional services to the hospital from downtown, Bellingham Technical College, and Lummi Nation Staff Report p. 45 Mike Wilson reported on the following: - The appointment of Joel Pfundt as Director of Public Works and Mike Olinger as Deputy Director. - The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is anticipated to be approved by the City Council on June 23, 2025. - The status of the Eldridge Ave pilot project.
