Call To Order
The Transportation Commission meeting was called to order by the Chair at 6:01 PM.

Miles Silverman commented on required travel lane width in Bellingham.

Vote: CARRIED 8-0.
Motion to approve by Cindy Dennis, second Andrea Reiter. Motion passed.
. Community Streets Program p. 6
Shane Sullivan presented a report on the Community Streets Program. City Staff answered
commissioner questions.
Motion to approve projects 3, 10, 13, 12, 15 by Cindy Dennis. Seconded by Jamin Agosti. Motion
passed.
. Staff Report p. 239
Shane Sullivan provided the commission with an update on the speed limit policy.
Dylan Casper provided the commission with an update on the Transportation Report on Annual
Mobility (TRAM) and the Bellingham Plan schedule.
Mike Wilson updated the commission on the Commute Trip Reduction program.
Steve Haugen provided an update on changes in paid parking.
Chair Report
Addie congratulated Tim Hohmann on his promotion in the role of Assistant Director of Public
Works-Transportation. Addie reported on her experience with the Whatcom Council of
Governments (WCOG) household travel survey.
Announcements
A question was raised about when Bicycle Master Plan (BMP) and Pedestrian Master Plan (PMP)
targets and measures. Dylan said BMP and PMP targets will be coming in 2026 following
Bellingham Plan and TRAM updates.
A question was raised about automatic traffic safety cameras. Tim responded that automatic
traffic safety camera discussion would be coming in the new year.
Pending Transportation Commission work plan items before the end of the calendar year include
discussions on Commute Trip Reduction, TRAM, the Holly Street project, 2026 work plan, and
officer elections.
Walk and Roll had Craig Spotts make a presentation building infrastructure faster and better.
