Final: January 9, 2023 Village of Bellport Work Session Board Meeting – January 9, 2023 AGENDA This meeting is open to the public in the Village Community Center, on Bell Street. It is an in- person meeting and will be streamed on Zoom. Work Session at 6:00PM: 1) Update: Village Hall Restoration, Diego Steisel and Jason Crane: Remediation Budget and Timing - Façade, Roof, and Wall Structure (Exhibit 1) 2) Jason Crane: DPW Purchase of Battery Powered Leaf Blowers, expenditure $2,000.00 (two blowers, with extra-long-life batteries). 3) Update: Waterfront, Adon Austin – HUD Submission, Brown’s Lane/Shore Road (Exhibit 2) 4) Treasurer’s Report: a) Review of the year-to-date financials through December 31, 2022. (Exhibit 3) 5) Bond principal payment of $95,000 and interest payment of $1,662.50 to the Depository Trust/Chase Bank on the 1.42M bond (Enterprise 65% and General 35%). (Exhibit 4) 6) Bond Interest payment of $3,449.25 to the Depository Trust/Chase Bank on the $485,000 bond (Enterprise 59% and General 41%). (Exhibit 5) 7) The Consolidated Highway Improvement Program (CHIPS) reimbursement received on December 22, 2022 in the amount of $92,073.84 (Exhibit 6) 8) Update: Status of Cullen and Danowski, Village External Auditors - 2021-2022 Financial Statements. 9) Renewal of the Government Advocacy Group Agreement January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023, $7,500.00 per month, not increase in this agreement. (Exhibit 7) 10) Discussion: New NYS Law authorizes volunteer firefighter and ambulance worker property tax exemption (Exhibit 8) 11) Proposed 2023-2024 Budget Calendar (Exhibit 9) Page | 1 Final: January 9, 2023 12) Begin the process for the Bellport Bay Yacht Club License Agreement renewal. 13) Discussion: Donation from the Carey Family to the Village Senior Program in the amount of $500.00 (Exhibit 10) 14) Discussion: Peddling/Soliciting Permit Proposal – Sale of Frozen Popsicles by Bike Cart at the Village Marina by (Exhibit 11) 15) Review Monthly Building Reports (Exhibit 12) 16) Review Monthly Code Report (Exhibit 13) Update: 2 Hour Parking in the Business District 17) Updates: a) Congressionally Directed Spending Requests Fiscal Year 2022: $2.8M Awarded March 11, 2022 for the Marina Basin and Hum Marina; Received Letter of Invitation (LOI) from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and guidelines on July 28, 2022. The Grant Award of up to $2.8M, at 75% of the total cost, whereby the Village would fund the remaining 25%, or $933,333, for a total potential project of $3,733,333.
