The Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag will be led by Councilmember Stephanie O’Banion. Texas Pledge. Citizens who desire to address the Council on any matter may register to do so prior to this meeting and speak during this item. Also, please understand that while the Council appreciates hearing your comments, State law (Texas Gov’t Code §551.042) prohibits them from: (1) engaging in discussion other than providing a statement of specific factual information or reciting existing City policy, and (2) taking action other than directing Staff to place the matter on a future agenda. Consent Agenda Items 3-5 under this section are considered to be routine by the City Council and may be enacted by one motion. If discussion is desired by the Council, any item may be removed from the Consent Agenda prior to voting, at the request of any Councilmember, and it will be considered separately. 3. Consider a resolution authorizing the award of a contract to Cyprus Point Construction for the construction of two houses as part of the HOME Program Grant awarded by Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. 5. Consider an ordinance abandoning public right of way for a portion of East 4th Avenue, east of North Birdwell Street, as shown in the Edney Addition, and conveying ownership to the abutting property owner. Regular Agenda 6. Hold a Public Hearing and consider an ordinance regarding annexation of the following properties: A. Tract A – approximately 2.12 acres in the A0070BC J BEAL Survey, 58-6, owned by UBET Investments LLC, located at 3150 Simmons Road, Belton, TX 76513. B. Tract B – approximately 2.44 acres in the A0070BC J BEAL Survey, 67-3-1, owned by John Martin Rovetto located at Simmons Road, Belton, TX 76513. C. Tract C – approximately 4.86 acres in the A0070BC J BEAL Survey, 67-3-2, owned by John Martin Rovetto located at Simmons Road, Belton, TX 76513. D. Tract D – approximately 6.515 acres located in the John Lewis Survey Abstract 512 and known as Rocking M Lane, Belton Texas 76513. 7. Hold a Public Hearing and consider proposed amendments to the Belton Zoning Ordinance related to Accessory Dwelling Units.
