City of Belton, Texas City Council Meeting Agenda Tuesday, March 11, 2025 - 5:30 p.m. Wright Room at the Harris Community Center 401 N. Alexander, Belton, Texas Pledge of Allegiance. The Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag will be led by Mayor Pro Tem John R. Holmes, Sr. Texas Pledge. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Texas Flag will be led by Chief of Police Larry Berg. “Honor the Texas flag; I pledge allegiance to thee Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible.” Invocation. Hold a public hearing on the issuance of City of Belton, Texas, Combination Tax and Limited Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 2025, in a maximum principal amount not to exceed $17,700,000. 6. Receive a presentation and consider authorizing the Building/Life Safety Grant Program. 7. Consider authorizing the BEDC Executive Director to execute an amended real estate contract and related documents for the acquisition and purchase of approximately 62 acres from Jay Lovorn. 8. Consider authorizing the BEDC Executive Director to execute an amended real estate contract and related documents for the acquisition and purchase of approximately 165 acres from Janet L. Rand.
