ABSENT: None. Quorum Present. ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Michelle Wolfe; Community Development Director Erik Thorvig; Public Works Director Jon Haukaas; Police Chief/Safety Services Manager Brian Podany; Finance Director Joe Huss; Administrative Services Director Cassandra Tabor; Communications Manager Ben Hayle; Community Development Specialist Elizabeth Showalter; City Clerk Cathy Sorensen. 3 New Business 3-1 Finalizing City Vision Statement Attachments: Blaine Strategic Plan Vision Statement Activity City of Blaine Page 1 City Council Workshop Minutes May 22, 2021 The council discussed several topics at the 2021 fall retreat including public meetings for council, boards and commissions and the open meeting law, council policies, mayor/council/staff communications, and an update on city manager 2021 goals. The council recessed the meeting at 9:00 PM then reconvened on Saturday to finalize the city vision statement, hold an affordable housing discussion, then reviewed the 2022 budget and tax levy planning. City Manager Wolfe stated discussions and direction would be shared with staff for follow up at future workshops. 3-2 Affordable Housing Discussion Attachments: PowerPoint Slides Housing Program Chart None.
