10801 Town Square Dr. City of Blaine Blaine MN 55449 Anoka County, Minnesota Minutes Nat'l Resources Conservation Board The Natural Resource Conservation Board is an advisory body to the City Council. The Board is charged with recommending acquisition of lands for open space and developing a Natural Resource Plan which includes environmental policy and guidelines for the maintenance and preservation of Blaine’s existing and future opens spaces and trail corridors. One of the Board’s functions is to hold public meetings and make recommendations to the City Council. For each item, the Board will receive reports prepared by City staff, provide the opportunity for public response, conduct Board discussions and make recommendations. The City Council, however, makes all final decisions on these matters. Tuesday, April 15, 2014 7:00 PM Council Chambers 1. Call To Order 2. Roll Call 3. Approval of Minutes MOVED by Boardmember Perkins, seconded by Boardmember Gunter to approve the minutes of the March 18, 2014 Board Meeting as presented. The motion carried unanimously. 4. 2013-2014 Natural Resources Conservation Board Adjourns Sine Die MOVED by Chairman McKinley, seconded by Boardmember Perkins to adjourn the 2013-2014 Natural Resources Conservation Board Sine Die. The motion carried unanimously. Chair McKinley adjourned the 2013-2014 Natural Resource Conservation Board Sine Die to complete the Oath of office at 7:05 p.m. 5. Administration of Oath of Offices 6. Meeting Resumes: Roll Call of 2014-2015 NRCB 7. Motion carried unanimously. 8. Open Forum for Citizen Input 9. New Business 9.a Update on Approval for Open Space CIP and Projects 9.b Set Dates and Times for 2014 Summer Tours BOARD CONSENSUS was reached for summer Board meetings to commence with a tour at the following times and locations, and continued afterwards at Blaine City Hall: June 17, 2014 – Laddie Lake Park, 7:00 p.m. July 15, 2014 – Hidden Ponds Park, 7:00 p.m. August 19, 2014 – Kane Meadows, 6:30 p.m. 9.c Update on Informational Pamphlets 9.d Preparation for Trails Discussion at May Meeting 9.e Update on Items for Web Site 9.f Reminder: Eath Day and Green Expo 10.
