Departing Board members: Holly Cranda ll, Lynn Farley , Angelle Anderson . They will stay on as Board members until a new one is appointed. Advertisement for Board members will be in Bluffdale Times for August 2021. Marianne Dunn agrees to be Secretary, Treasure , and Board member Tech for Website and Social Media. M elan ie Gonzales will be Volunteer to co-help with Marianne to update Social Media and Website. Laura Garner will take care of other publicity, i.e.: banners/ZAP/newspaper/emails/lawn signs ANNIE: August 5-7 at Hidden Valley MS -Amanda L. responsible for ticket sales, House Manager, ask Ralph Dabling to announce. -Julie Fox responsible for concessions. Suggest to ask Crissy Hickman to help. Julie w ill purchase and set-up to sale concessions. -Programs: Amanda L. -Backstage: Regan Bostrum -Lights: Eric Peterson -Sound: Ralph D. Need one more person to help, suggest Karla Zimmerman, Hayley Farley. Keisha can help if needs until Karla arrives. -Costumes: Elizabeth Lyon and Chelsea Otteson Elizabeth says 3 components for costuming a show: 1- managing. 2- costuming people. 3- sewing new costu mes. -She would like a list of helpers. Lau ra says there are no lists, have used mothers of cast to help sew. -BAAB looking to hire a person in charge of the costumes. Hiring would be done and through Bluffdale City. -Props: Laura , Brittany Schramer -Publicity: Melanie Gonzales agrees to collect pictures of cast and put on grid stand in lobby. -Question about closed circuit TV to view plays from lobby. -Agreed to ask Eric Peterson to purchase proper equipment costing up to $2000. If equ ipment costs more, he is to give BAAB Board a proposal for approval. Boa rd members approving: Laura , Amanda , Marianne, Holly, Lynn FALL MUSICAL CELEBRATION : Nov 4-6. Thurs-Sat at Hidden Vally MS -Many people asking to perform from previous Bluffdale productions. -Keisha would like an orchestra for small musica l numbers, music tracks for dance numbers. - Kara and Holly collaborated on finding players and music for the orchestra. 1 OLD WEST PHOTO BOOTH -Lynn will not be available to be there. -Laura : provide shade tents, tables, costumes -Amanda: provide technical needs: computers for payments, schedule, etc. -Julie Fox offered to help. -Holly offered to help set up night before and with service help the day of. -Need photographers: would Annie Christensen be available? Laura w ill ask. -NEED Volunteer page on Website -REVIEW of this years events. -Summer outdoor plays were very successful. Audience of 60-70 people most nights, Monday being a higher number in the audience of about 90. -Free concessions well-received . -May show weather cold, June show very hot -Voted to continue summer plays • Questions of back-up facility in case of rain . Nothing resolved . Cannot use Bluffdale City Hall indoor room. -Julie Fox accepted to be in charge of "Straight Plays" (non-musicals) . She will form a committee to help. • Laura offer to produce and design sets, but not build sets. • Must have vo lunteers to help set-up and take-down for plays • Pay Teens for tech help COMING UP PLAYS: Tale of Two Cities. Fall 2021. Keisha di rect Freaky Friday 2022. Teen play. Keisha direct Shrek 2022. Family play West Side Story. 2023. Teen play Music & Arts Festival? Propose to do it in February. Laura will talk to Nate Anderson. IMPROMPTU TROOP - Keisha proposes BAAB sponsor an Impromptu Club which feeds into the Troop. As member develops skills, then can audition for the Troop. The Impromptu Troop w ill perform for competitions, conventions , BAAB Murder Mystery Dinners , as opener for BAAB plays. • Keisha agrees to organize Troop but will have others be in charge • BAAB w ill arrange space for Troop to meet. Probably meet weekly. • Holly suggests BAAB perform a Melodrama • Keisha suggests BAAB sale season tickets • Crystalynn Mellor would like to form a BAAB choir • suggestion to form a Bluffdale Philharmonic like the Draper Philharmonic. • Keisha suggests Mr. & Mrs. Frost be on BAAB Board NEXT MEETING: September 27, 2021. 6:30PM.
