PROCEEDINGS OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE COURT OF BOSSIER CITY
STATE OF LOUISIANA TAKEN AT A REGULAR MEETING
AUGUST 8, 2023
The Administrative Court of the City of Bossier City, State of Louisiana, met August 8, 2023, at
3:00 PM.
Invocation was given by Council Member Chris Smith
Pledge of Allegiance led by Council Member Don Williams
Roll Call as follows:
Present: Honorable, Chairman Don Williams, Honorable Councilors Jeffery Darby and Chris
Smith
Also Present: Assistant City Attorney, Richard Ray, City Clerk, Phyllis McGraw and Deputy
City Clerk, Amyanna Germany

Motion to approve minutes of the June 13, 2023, Administrative Court proceedings.
Seconded by Mr. Smith

Motion to approve Agenda.

Agenda Item called- Blight Hearing for 1112 Benton Road, Bossier City LA.
Justin Robinson, Property Standards updated Board on case and requested that all junk be
removed

Motion to declare it all junk and city to proceed with clean up.
Seconded by Mr. Smith
No further comment

Agenda Item called – 3208 Gay Boulevard, Bossier City LA
Steve Glass, Property Standards reported on issue. He also reported this is the second time this
year that 3208 Gay Boulevard has come in front board about the same issue. Roger Voet,
Property Standards Supervisor also reported that owner has been given 60 days to remove it from
her property this time, and she has not. Everything in the yard needs to be removed. Mrs. Jamie
Clifton stated she needs more time, but all Board agreed she has had enough time to remove it,
and they will have contractors come to clean it up, could be as soon as Friday.

Mr. Darby asked if more funding was needed for Property Standards. Mr. Voet reported that
they would be asking for additional funds in the 2024 Budget and that they were able to find
enough in this year’s budget to purchase 2 very needed, bullet proof vests.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:12pm
