Luis Vizcarrondo Chair Dana Acy called the meeting to order. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion by Mr. Brown, second by Ms. Marshall to approve the minutes of July 22, 2025. Yeas: Ms. Acy Ms. Marshall, Mr. Brown, Ms. Neff, Ms. Ortiz, Mr. Hilcu. Nays: none. Absent: Mr. Coyle, Mr. Tanski, Mr. Vizcarrondo. Motion by Ms. Acy, second by Mr. Brown to approve the minutes of October 21, 2025. Yeas: Ms. Acy Ms. Marshall, Mr. Brown, Ms. Neff, Ms. Ortiz, Mr. Hilcu. Nays: none. Absent: Mr. Coyle, Mr. Tanski, Mr. Vizcarrondo. NEW BUSINESS Discussion about the following: • Schedule of future meetings: The Commission recommended having the next 3 scheduled meetings via Zoom. The dates are as follows: December 16, 2025 at 6:00 p.m., January 20, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. and February 10, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. (Motion by Acy, second by Neff). It was asked that Ms. Schroeder set up the Zoom link for each meeting. • New appointment of member to C&B Commission: Kim Stark will be appointed at the next Council meeting on November 24, 2025. • Dog Park event: Date was set to bring together local pet businesses such as Emerald Vet, Pet Supplies Plus, and a mobile groomer on May 16, 2025 at the Dog Park (Motion by Acy, seconded by Neff). • Know Your Rights event: contact Alfred Cleveland with Young Christian Professionals to coordinate an informational meeting by hosting law professionals and the public at the Brooklyn library on January 17, 2026 from 2:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. (Motion by Acy, seconded by Brown). • Ohio House of Representatives (speakers Darnell Brewer and Chris Glassburn): 2 Representatives to speak on concerns of the community, proper ways to advocate, how to be proactive in government, how new laws are introduced, etc. The Commission recommended the following date and location: January 8, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in Brooklyn Council Chambers – City Hall (Motioned by Acy, seconded by Hilcu). • Advertisement of upcoming events: Ms. Acy stated she will compile the dates on a flyer so they can be placed on the City’s social media in the beginning of December 2025 and January 2026. Each event will also be advertised individually 2 weeks prior to each event. The next scheduled meeting is December 16, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Community Room.
