Pursuant to Section 551.127, Texas Government Code, one or more Commissioners or employees may attend this meeting remotely using videoconferencing technology. PUBLIC HEARINGS A.1 10142021 – 645 E. 1st St. SWEENEY APARTMENTS – NEW STACKED DUPLEX District D4 Request: Construction of the two-story building following the historic design comprised by a stacked duplex. Applicant: Guadalupe Villarreal. City Staff: Juan Velez, Historic Preservation Office, 956-548-6142. Staff recommendation: The building show a symmetrical façade to E. Adams St. Rear façade: Design it as symmetrically as possible. Right window on first floor to be aligned with the right window located on the second floor. Wood door comprised by quarters (Spanish style). Approval following staff recommendations. A.2 11232021 - 1515 Central Blvd. EL RANCHO GRANDE HOTEL SITE – CIELO VISTA APARTMENT COMPLEX District D4 Request: Apartment complex comprised by seven three-story (168 units) structures. The complex will have three different building types with one, two, and three bedrooms. Facades will show brick veneer, EIFS (synthetic stucco), fiber cement trim wrapped columns, and low profile membrane roof hidden behind the parapets. The club/leasing center will be a one-story structure, pitch roof, and EIFS/brick veneer façade.
