CALL TO ORDER
Mayor King called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

Motion by Council Member Lewis, seconded by Council Member Hornick, approving
Consent Calendar Items as listed.

PRESENTATIONS
6. Recognition of Students Participating in City in the School Training
City Manager Wolfe recognized the students who participated in the City in the School
program at Jonata Middle School and thanked them for their interest in how city
government functions.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
7. Resolution No. 23-07 – “A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Buellton,
California, Regarding the Commitments and Publishing the Report Required by
Central Coast Water Authority Resolution Nos. 92-02 and 92-11”
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council consider approval of Resolution No. 23-07.
STAFF REPORT:
Public Works Director Hess presented the staff report.
SPEAKERS/DISCUSSION:
Mayor King opened the public hearing at 6:03 p.m. There being no public comment,
Mayor King closed the Public Hearing at 6:04 p.m.

Motion by Vice Mayor Sanchez, seconded by Council Member Silva adopting Resolution
No. 23-07 – “A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Buellton, California,
Regarding the Commitments and Publishing the Report Required by Central Coast Water
Authority Resolution Nos. 92-02 and 92-11”

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Mayor King announced that he and Vice Mayor Sanchez toured Diablo Canyon Nuclear
Power Plant and provided an informational report for the record.
BUSINESS ITEMS
8. Award of Contract for Street Sweeping Services
RECOMMENDATION:
That the City Council consider awarding the street sweeping services contract to SP
Maintenance and authorize the City Manager to execute the contract.
STAFF REPORT:
Public Works Director Hess presented the staff report.

MOTION:
Motion by Vice Mayor Sanchez, seconded by Council Member Hornick approving the
street sweeping services contract with SP Maintenance, which includes the lower liability
insurance limit, and authorizing the City Manager to execute the contract.

Speaker Slip to be completed and turned in to the City Clerk prior to commencement of meeting. Any person may
address the Council on any subject pertaining to City business, including all items on the agenda not listed as a Public
Hearing, including the Consent Agenda and Closed Session. Limited to three (3) minutes per speaker. By law, no
action may be taken at this meeting on matters raised during Public Comments not included on this agenda. Public
Speakers using a translator are allotted a total of six (6) minutes to speak, unless simultaneous translation equipment is
used.
