BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes A Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 9:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Bernabei called the meeting to order at 9:03 AM. Director of Public Safety Andrea Perry and Director of Public Service John Highman were present. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 4/27/2021 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 53/2021 Enter into a professional service contract with Environmental Design Group LLC in the amount of $63,450.00 for the design of the Market Ave. South Streetscape Project, Phase 2, GP1319 for the Engineering Department. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 82/2021 Enter into a professional service contract with Wi-Fiber, LLC in the amount of $101,500.00 for the construction and installation of a 10 GB secure and dedicated Police Department network. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 3. Ordinance 81/2021 Enter into a professional service contract with Wi-Fiber, LLC in the amount of $108,150.00 for the purchase and installation of security cameras, license plate readers and associated hardware and software for the Northeast Neighborhood Security Camera project. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 4. Ordinance 37/2021 Enter into a professional service contract with Omnipro Services, LLC in the amount of $37,953.00 for the construction administration on the City of Canton Fiber Project, GP1354. Discussion: Mayor Bernabei asked if this project would take place on W. Tuscarawas St. Director Highman confirmed that the project will cover the southwest area around W. Tuscarawas St., Wertz Ave., etc.  4. Ordinance 37/2021 Enter into a professional service contract with Omnipro Services, LLC in the amount of $37,953.00 for the construction administration on the City of Canton Fiber Project, GP1354. Discussion: Mayor Bernabei asked if this project would take place on W. Tuscarawas St. Director Highman confirmed that the project will cover the southwest area around W. Tuscarawas St., Wertz Ave., etc. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 5. Ordinance 79/2021 Enter into Change Order No. 2 & Final with Stanley Miller Construction Co. in the amount of $19,957.23 for the 3rd St. SE Bridge Reconstruction Project, GP1167 due to additional curb ramps, design revisions, additional steel reinforcement, etc. resulting in a new contract amount of $730,522.35. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 6. Ordinance 84/2021 Enter into a professional service contract with IBI Group Engineering Services (USA), Inc. in the amount of $38,445.00 for the design services on the Perry Dr. NW Water Main Replacement Project. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 7. Ordinance 244/2020 Enter into a supply contract with Core and Main LP for the purchase of as needed tree grate supplies for the Engineering Department. Discussion: Director Highman asked if Core and Main was the only bidder. Katie Wise confirmed that they were the only bidder. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried.
