BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes A Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 9:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Bernabei called the meeting to order at 9:02 AM. Director of Public Safety Andrea Perry and Director of Public Service John Highman were present. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 10/18/2022 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 221/2020 Enter into Change Order No. 4 with Wenger Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $8,019.18 for the Steese Area Roadway and Drainage-Phase 1, 39th St. NW Project, GP 1284 due to repair of a sanitary sewer lateral that was hit by a utility company, resulting in a new contract amount of $3,353,131.17. Discussion: Per Director Highman, when the road was dug up for this project, a previously damaged sanitary sewer lateral line was discovered. The cause of the damage was unknown. The damaged lateral was repaired correctly prior to backfill. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 236/2022 Enter into a Change Order No. 1 with Omnipro Services, LLC in the amount of $110,560.00 for the Construction Oversight and Inspection Services on the Rebar Ave. NE/US-62 Realignment (Amazon), GP1378 Project due to substantial changes to the contractor’s schedule and work hours on the project, resulting in a new contract amount of $224,148.00. Discussion: Mayor Bernabei asked if this City will be reimbursed for these expenses. Director Highman stated that the funds for this project will be paid to the City via reimbursement.  resulting in a new contract amount of $224,148.00.
