SPECIAL BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Special Board of Control meeting was held Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Bernabei called the meeting to order at 10:01 AM. Director of Public Safety Andrea Perry was present. Director of Public Service John Highman was excused. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 12/7/2022 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 273/2022 Enter into a grant agreement with CFAP-Gonder, LLC utilizing $1.3 million in ARPA Funds to assist in the renovation to the former SMHA building located at 1318 Gonder Ave. SE which will serve as the home to My Community Health Center and Southeast Community Market, pending Income Tax approval. Discussion: Katie Wise indicated that Income Tax approval has just been received. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced agreement. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 218/2022 Enter into a professional services agreement with MS Consultants, Inc. in the amount of $152,550.00 in ARPA Funds for the design of the 31st St. NE Waterline and Storm Sewer Project, GP1398 for the Engineering Department, pending Income Tax approval. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced agreement. Director Perry seconded.  Discussion: No discussion. Ordinance 136/2019 Enter into the Year Three and Final Change Order with M.E. Simpson Co., Inc. for a cost reduction in the amount of $23,437.72 for year three of the Large Diameter Concrete Main Leak Assessment Program for the Water Department. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried.
