BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 9:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Bernabei called the meeting to order at 9:01 AM. Director of Public Safety Andrea Perry and Director of Public Service John Highman were present. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 12/20/2022 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 244/2020 Enter into Change Order No. 2 with Northstar Asphalt, Inc. in the amount of $19,821.82 for the 2021 Paving Project, Phase 2, 3rd St. SE Resurfacing, GP1339 due to fuel price and asphalt binder price adjustments, resulting in a new contract amount of $563,607.70. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 69/2022 Enter into contract with Q.B.S., Inc. in the amount of $250,000.00 for the Police Department Indoor Range Ventilation System Project pursuant to the design-build selection process per ORC 153, which complies with state competitive bidding requirements. Discussion: Per Director Highman, $250,000.00 is the guaranteed maximum price for this project, per the design-build process. Director Perry added that this project had been posted several times before a vendor finally provided a proposal. ARPA funds will be used for this project.
