SPECIAL BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Special Board of Control meeting was held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 9:45 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Bernabei called the meeting to order at 9:45 AM. Director of Public Service, John Highman and Director of Public Safety, Andrea Perry were present. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 6/28/2023 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 65/2023 Enter into contract with Simply Youth, LLC utilizing $75,000.00 in ARPA funds in order to run the Keep Canton Clean Summer Program to manicure lawns for senior citizens and disable residents, clean up blight areas and litter patrol. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. Adjournment: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Meeting adjourned: 9:47 AM Director Perry seconded.
