Ordinance 60/2023 Enter into the following contracts utilizing CDBG, HOME and ESG funds. These organizations were selected to receive grant awards as part of the City’s 2023 HUD approved Action Plan. Discussion: Per Director Highman, this is for the implementation of the Board of Control contracts for the Department of Development’s HUD approved Action Plan. The funds were received from HUD last week. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contracts. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Codified Ordinance 107.07 Enter into a six-month contract with Metalico Akron, Inc. dba Metalico Annaco for the sale of scrap vehicles located at the Police Impound Lot in the amount of $432.00 per vehicle. This price may adjust up or down each month based on the American Metal Market Index for scrap. Discussion: Director Perry asked if the price of $432.00 per vehicle was up or down. Katie Wise indicated that it was down, however, the market price is always changing. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 3. Ordinance 95/2023  Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 3. Ordinance 95/2023 Enter into a one-year agreement, with the option of two (2) one-year extensions if mutually agreed upon, with the Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority (SMHA) for fuel services and vehicle maintenance for SMHA vehicles to be provided by the City of Canton Department of Motor Vehicles. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced agreement. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried.
