BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 9:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Bernabei called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. Director of Public Safety, Andrea Perry was present. Director of Public Service, John Highman was excused. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 7/25/2023 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 225/2022 Enter into Change Order No. 1 with DWA Recreation, Inc. in the amount of $2,500.00 for the Canton Parks Playground Equipment Installation Project, due to the need for additional site work, grading and excavation, resulting in a new contract amount of $173,160.00. Discussion: Mayor Bernabei asked the location of the parks for this project. Katie Wise indicated that the work for this project is being done at Maryland, Meyer, Bernard and Weis Parks. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 276/2022 Award and enter into a 1-year supply contract (with the option of a 30-day extension at the sole discretion of the City of Canton) in the amount of $0.28 per pound with Univar Solutions USA, Inc. for the supply of hydrofluorosilicic acid for the Water Department. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract.  Discussion: No discussion. Ordinance 276/2022 Award and enter into a 1-year supply contract (with the option of a 30-day extension at the sole discretion of the City of Canton) in the amount of $1.04 per pound with Alexander Chemical Corporation for the supply of liquid chlorine for the Water Department. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 4. Ordinance 69/2022 Enter into a professional services agreement with Anser Advisory Management, LLC in the amount of $1,208,000.00 for the construction engineering services for the 11th St. SE Bridge Replacement Project, GP1144. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced agreement. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 2 yeas 0 nays Motion carried.
