BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 9:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Bernabei called the meeting to order at 9:02 AM. Director of Public Service, John Highman and Director of Public Safety, Andrea Perry were present. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 10/24/2023 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 118/2023 Enter into a supply contract with Aclara Technologies, Inc. in the amount of $262,080.00 for the purchase of 2,016 meter transmitting units which collect meter data electronically for the Water Department. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 218/2022 Enter into a construction contract with Don Wartko Construction, Inc. in the amount of $1,236,162.82 for the 31st St. NE Waterline Replacement and Storm Sewer Project, GP1398. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded.  Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 3. Ordinance 50/2023 Enter into Change Order No. 1 & Final with Rice’s Nursery & Landscaping, Inc. dba Rice’s Landscapes Redefined for a cost reduction in the amount of $855.81 for the Canton Welcome Sign Landscape Project, in order to close out the project, resulting in a new contract amount of $154,039.05. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced change order. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 4. Ordinance 157/2023 Enter into contract with American Structurepoint, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $527,350.00 utilizing ARPA Funds for the design and oversight of the City Hall HVAC and Executive Garage Repair Project. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Bernabei made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried.
