BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 9:00 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Sherer called the meeting to order at 9:03 AM. Director of Public Service, John Highman and Director of Public Safety, Andrea Perry were present. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. Visitor present was Doug Foltz, Director of Parks and Recreation. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 7/16/2024 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 62/2024 Award and enter into a construction contract with Wenger Excavating, Inc. in the amount of $698,785.00 for the 15th St. and Allen Ave. SE Railroad Crossing Project, GP 1390. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 225/2022 Enter into Change Order No. 1 with Playcore Wisconsin, dba GameTime c/o DWA Recreation, Inc. in the amount of $14,850.13 to add the purchase of a 75’ Zip Line for Garaux Park, which was omitted by the contractor when the quote for the purchase of the playground equipment was prepared. The price of the zip line installation was included in the separate equipment installation contract. Discussion: Per Director Foltz, we had to add the zip line because it was forgotten as part of the bid. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced change order.
