BOARD OF CONTROL Meeting Minutes The Board of Control meeting was held Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 8:30 AM in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Board President, Mayor Sherer called the meeting to order at 8:31 AM. Director of Public Service, John Highman and Director of Public Safety, Andrea Perry were present. Board Secretary Katie Wise was also present. There were no visitors present. The following items were for review/approval by the Board of Control: 9/17/2024 - Minutes 1. Ordinance 176/2024 Enter into a professional services contract with Nutter Consulting, LLC in an amount not to exceed $132,530.00 for the development of a climate action and sustainability plan. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 2. Ordinance 121/2024 Award and enter into a construction contract with Kinsey Excavating and Trucking, LLC in the amount of $364,945.32 for the 6th St. NW Storm and Sanitary Sewer Relocation Project, GP 1473. Discussion: No discussion. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded.  Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. 3. Ordinance 139/2024 Award and enter into a construction contract with Stanley Miller Construction Co. in the amount of $162,605.00 for the Cherry Ave. NE Streetscape Project, GP1427. Discussion: Per Director Highman, the bid price came in at about half of the estimated project price. This project will include decorative lights. Motion: Mayor Sherer made a motion to approve the above referenced contract. Director Highman seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Motion carried. Adjournment: Mayor Sherer made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Director Perry seconded. Vote: 3 yeas 0 nays Meeting adjourned: 8:35 AM
